Before we accept a booking we spend some time finding out about you, your wedding and what makes it unique. We also explain our service and how we shoot a wedding. We'll ask what kind of photography you want, then we can discuss and plan how it can be applied to your own wedding. Most importantly we'll make sure we're the right people for the photography you want.
Once we've accepted your booking we'll plan shooting lists and schedules with you and how to make most of the photography in the time available.
We won't treat your wedding like a production line with the same poses and set ups we used last week nor will we send a different photographer along on the day. Andy is our photographer and he will be shooting your wedding.
We don't use your wedding day to tout for new business, if a guest asks we will offer a card but you won't find the tables decorated with "web cards".
Online proofs are in a private gallery and we don't ruin your ability to view by covering them in watermarks or copyright warnings.
In order to get the most out of the photography for the day it is important that a reasonable amount time is scheduled for the shots. We often find guests are keen to move on to the reception venue and this combined with having to organise and arrange group shots can have an impact on the photography. We will discuss this in detail at the pre-wedding meeting but briefly there are ways to address this situation. By doing the formals/group shots first the guests are free to leave sooner leaving the couple available for their shots without any distractions or concern for the guests. Alternatively it is sometimes possible to arrange some kind of light refreshment for the guests immediately after the ceremony (Strawberries & Cream is a popular choice). Making sure the guests are aware of the plan for the photography is also useful and this information can be included in the service sheet handed out before the ceremony. One final point that we will discuss with you is how you would prefer for photo calls, etc. to be arranged - we are equally happy to arrange people on the day or you might have a toastmaster or guest that you feel would be suitable for the role.
