Tonight saw Wellington Thunderbridge Bluegrass Boys playing alongside some Bluegrassers from the USA (although one of them was born in Seaton and moved to Canada aged 2).
Mike O Reilly, his band and Dick Smith put on a wonderful show with great music and some amusing tales. Shots are now online here.

Today we went along to provide coverage of some students from Grenville College on a training session for the Ten Tors. Two teams were off on a 5 mile hike into the middle of Dartmoor to spend the night, fortunately I only had to stay with them for a the first 1/4 mile.

Yesterday we spent most of the day at Staplegrove Playgroup in Taunton offering a new twist on school photography. Out with the pastel backgrounds and gritted teeth smiles and in with candid shots of the children playing, laughing and smiling.
Shots from the day are online in the gallery but it’s password protected so if you know it you can click here to view it.
Apologies to those of you who had trouble finding the gallery initially - there was a typo in the name which has now been corrected.

In recent weeks there has been a significant increase in the number of our images being “grabbed” from the gallery for use on Facebook, MySpace and other websites.
This is theft, the same as copying a CD or DVD and is wholly unacceptable.
If you are the subject of one of our photographs and would like to use the image on a website such as Facebook, etc. then all you need to do is ask. If the image is being used for a non-commercial purpose we are happy to provide a suitable sized image free of charge on the condition that a link and credit are clearly displayed alongside the image.
All of our images in the gallery are “tagged” and watermarked and combined with detailed logs it is very easy for us to find out when images are being “grabbed” or “hotlinked”. We have also taken steps to prevent images being saved from the gallery and so anyone who does “grab” images has deliberately set out to do so. In these cases we will, in the first instance, contact the offender and ask for the image to be removed within 7 days. Failure to do so will result in a large bill, currently £1000.00 per image and could possibly lead to legal proceedings for recovery.
So, please, if you’d like to use an image just ask.
Thank you.

What better way to spend the Easter Weekend that ripping the website apart and rebuilding it from scratch.
No doubt there’s a few wrinkles to be ironed out so please point out any that you find or indeed any general comments you might have about the new design.
Most of the content is also being updated and watch out for our Spring Special Offer that will be appearing very soon.
I hope you’re not suffering too much from all that chocolate

Mama Stone’s Artist Development will be opening it’s doors very soon. Located in the centre of Wellington it offers a new cafe, music venue as well as education for students looking to learn everything from singing, song writing, performance and just about everything else to do with the music industry. The Mama Stone’s team includes Wendy Joseph (Joss Stone’s Mum), drummer Jonathan Joseph, vocalists Sarah Cunningham and Paula Mitchell plus all round legend Adam Issac.
Mama Stone’s Live takes place on the 9th & 10th of April and is a chance to see some of the students in action.

Tim Wadsworth of Hydon discussing the development
Hydon have just launched the first phase of the Tonedale Mill redevelopment and invited Shooting Pixels along to cover the Launch. The evening was a huge success and the Tonedale Sales & Marketing suite was packed with visitors throughout the evening.
