Hi, I’m Andy — the face behind Shooting Pixels.
I’ve been capturing stories through a lens for over 30 years, and I still get the same buzz every time I press the shutter. My journey started in the late 80s as an artist in the video games industry before I moved into professional photography in the early 90s. I trained in one of London’s top photo labs, worked with Kodak, and assisted some incredible photographers before stepping out on my own.
These days, I specialise in weddings across Somerset, Devon, and beyond. I love photographing weddings because no two are ever the same — every couple, every family, and every little moment is unique. My approach is relaxed, unobtrusive, and story-led. Most of the time you won’t even notice I’m there, but when you look back at your gallery, you’ll see all the laughter, happy tears, and little in-between moments you might have missed.
Couples often tell me I made them feel comfortable, calm, and even managed to bring out genuine smiles from people who usually hate being photographed. That’s exactly what I aim for — timeless, natural images that feel like you.
When I’m not at a wedding, you’ll probably find me photographing local theatre productions, chasing around with my mischievous cocker spaniel, Sprout (that's him above), or exploring the world with my wife, Wendy.
If you’re looking for someone who’ll tell your story with creativity, care, and just the right dash of humour — I’d love to be part of your day.
Enjoying the Greek sunshine!
