You don’t need to be good at having your photo taken.
You’re probably not worried about photography itself.
You’re worried about feeling awkward.
About being told to do things that don’t feel like you.
About seeing the photos afterwards and thinking, “That’s not us.”
We don’t wait until the wedding to figure this out.
My main packages include a pre-wedding shoot. Not because you need another set of photographs.
Because it gives us time together before the wedding, with no pressure and no audience.
We can find out what feels comfortable, what doesn’t, how much direction you like and what makes you laugh.
By the time the wedding arrives, I’m no longer a stranger pointing a camera at you.
"We had a pre- shoot with Andy and he made us feel really comfortable and at ease, this continued on our wedding day- not only with us but with our guests too. Always making us laugh and capturing the best moments when you’d least expect it."
"He has a knack for capturing the personalities of the people and overall vibe of the day. He took a lot of additional time to get to know us before the day and worked hard to help me with my self-consciousness"
"Our guests couldn’t stop raving about him either. He blended in so seamlessly, it honestly felt like he was one of our mates just hanging out with a camera. That natural, relaxed energy made all the difference."
You don’t have to choose between beautiful portraits and photographs that feel like you.
You can feel awkward in front of the camera and still get both.
You get the big, beautiful portraits.
You get the photographs where you look confident and connected.
And you also get the moments where you forget about the camera completely.
But what if we really are awkward?
You probably are.
Almost everyone is at first.
That’s why I don’t expect you to arrive knowing what to do.
You won’t be left standing somewhere wondering where to put your hands while I silently point a camera at you.
I’ll guide you when you need it. Then I’ll back off when you don’t.
Your wedding shouldn’t feel like one long photoshoot.
We’ll make time for the photographs that matter, but you’ll spend the day with your people, not with me.
You’ll be talking, laughing, eating, drinking, hugging, crying and occasionally wondering where I’ve disappeared to.
That’s usually when I’m getting the photographs you end up loving most.
